River’s Gift was established in November 2011, to raise funds for world leading scientific research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and make a formidable contribution to the discovery of a cure for this heartbreaking loss of life. The charity was created in honour of River Jak Adam Waddell, son of Alex and Karl Waddell, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep.
River was a healthy and happy baby boy, with no symptoms of any illness
The ultimate aim of River’s Gift is to support research that may one day see the eradication of SIDS.
